Holuski

I saw this on a Food Network show profiling restaurants. Then I found a starter recipe on allrecipes.com. I adapted it to be closer to the restaurant’s. Very good! A Polish or Czech recipe.

8 oz. egg noodles
1 head cabbage
1 onion, chopped
¼ c. butter
½ pkg. turkey bacon, cooked until crisp and crumbled
salt and pepper to taste
parmesan cheese and or sour cream

Remove the core of the cabbage and steam until tender. Cool. Meanwhile, boil the egg noodles as per package directions. Then, chop the cooked cabbage as in cole slaw. Saute the onion in the butter until tender. Next, add the cabbage and then noodles. Keep sautéing until it starts looking GBD. Don’t cover! Salt and pepper as preferred. When it is done to your liking, remove from heat. Top with parm and or sour cream.
